(QNO) - The opening ceremony of the Quang Nam International Kite Festival 2017 took place at Pho Hoi Hotel (Hoi An city) on the morning of June 8. It is one of the activities of the 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival 2017.
The Kite Festival is from 8th to 10th June in Cam Nam Ward (Hoi An city) and Tam Thanh commune (Tam Ky City), where nearly 90 foreign and 85 domestic artisans gather. About 300 traditional and modern kites coming from Canada, Japan, Thailand, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand and Vietnam take part in the festival.

Most of the kites are performed on the background of music, which shows artisans’ talents, creativity, and techniques of kite controls. Visitors to Quang Nam can enjoy hundreds of kites with all the colors, sizes and shapes, and especially unique kite performances.
