(QNO) - Quang Nam has stepped up attempts to draw tourism investments in its mountainous areas after the success in two historic sites, My Son and Hoi An.
By promoting green tourism, employing ethnic minorities, and leveraging local assets, this strategy seeks to improve the economic and social landscape of Quang Nam's highlands.
Recently, with the development of ecotourism, many locals have worked as chefs, security personnel, and hotel receptionists, earning monthly salaries of VND 5-7 million. Their lives are gradually improving.
Since Quang Nam launched a comprehensive project to preserve culture in connection with community-based tourism, the pristine forests of the Annamite range have been awakened.
In the first 10 months of this year, Quang Nam welcomed over 7 million visitors, with estimated revenue exceeding VND 7 trillion. Unlocking the tourism potential of the highlands while preserving cultural heritage has significantly improved the material and spiritual lives of ethnic minority communities.
