(QNO) - After the success in different activities to welcome international tourists with vaccine passports to Vietnam, Quang Nam province has planned to recover tourism- its spearhead economic sector.
After two years of border closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Quang Nam tourism reopens for foreign visitors from France, Germany, Israel, Norway, South Korea, the UK, and the US last November.
They were all impressed by the local warm welcome and satisfied with good preparation there.
As one of the first foreigners with vaccine passports to Quang Nam, Aleksei Faberow from Israel felt impressed with local beautiful landscapes, local gentle hospitable residents, and attractive tourist attractions.
He highly appreciated the local preservation and restoration of My Son Sanctuary- a UNESCO world cultural heritage and believed there would be more and more visitors to that place.
At the same time, Faberow thought Quang Nam was successful in the Covid-19 prevention and control. He felt safe there.
Quang Nam is one of the first localities to come up with plans to reopen tourism for foreign visitors.
The province has made every effort to recover tourism activities by improving the quality of tourism products and services, especially in Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary.
At the same time, the local Covid-19 prevention and control is strictly implemented to adapt to the new normal.
During the time of closure due to Covid-19, My Son Sanctuary has still been preserved and restored, being ready for reopening when the Covid-19 pandemic is controlled. It is a popular tourist attraction to visitors, especially foreigners.
Along with new tourism products, Quang Nam has just issued a set of green tourism in hope of local sustainable tourism development.
In addition, the province has supported travel agencies and tourism businesses to resume their operations.
In addition to the Covid-19 prevention and control, all economic, cultural and social development activities have been recovered in Hoi An.
Hopefully, more and more international delegations register to visit Hoi An and Quang Nam. And there will be a positive recovery of the smokeless industry in the time to come.
It is reported that Quang Nam has been worked out specific solutions to the complicated context of Covid-19, especially in tourism sector in hope of a safe and sustainable recovery of the "smokeless industry" in the near future.
