(QNO) - The export of goods by enterprises in Quang Nam has shown positive growth since the beginning of the year.
A strong start to the new year
On the first business day of Lunar New Year 2025, THACO exported over 300 containers via Chu Lai port.
THACO AUTO shipped 120 Kia Frontier trucks to the Middle East, 400 Kia New Carnival body kits to India, and 45 Peugeot Django motorcycles to Cambodia, all meeting international standards.
In 2025, THACO INDUSTRIES plans to export 2,800 semi-trailers to North America, 1.4 million auto parts to Asia, and various industrial and consumer goods to North America, Australia, and Europe.
THACO AGRI exported nearly 4,000 tons of fresh fruit to Japan and China, reinforcing its Asian market presence. From 2022 to 2024, it shipped 100,000 tons to China, Japan, South Korea, and the Middle East, leveraging mechanisation and biotechnology for high-quality production.
New momentum
Reportedly, Quang Nam’s 2024 trade turnover reached USD 5.012 billion, a 23.4% increase from 2023, with exports totalling USD 2.119 billion.
Quang Nam's main exports include textiles, knitwear, electronics, electronic components, footwear, wooden products, tents, and fabrics.
Vietnam's 17 free trade agreements (FTAs) have expanded global export opportunities, strengthening Quang Nam's export presence.
Permanent Deputy Chairman of the Quang Nam People's Committee Phan Thai Binh urged stronger trade promotion, market expansion, and giving businesses support to leverage Vietnam’s FTAs, along with export development programs for key products and helping businesses seize new global opportunities.
