An online meeting between the Quang Nam Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention and control and 18 districts and cities in the province occurred on the morning of August 8.
At the meeting, the districts and cities briefly informed of the local situation of Covid-19 prevention and control. Then they had their suggestions on the medical staff, shortage of testing reagents and funds for Covid-19 prevention and control.
Quang Nam is one of the hotspots of Covid-19 in Vietnam; so, it is necessary to mobilize all forces and people to take part in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic. Up to now, Quang Nam has prepared facilities and machines for treating Covid-19 patients.
Secretary of Quang Nam Party Committee Phan Viet Cuong. asked leaders of all localities in the province to deploy the plan of Covid-19 prevention and control calmly and actively.
Quang Nam is determined to control the epidemic effectively. It is now essential to trace F1 and F2; timely isolate the places of Covid-19 and prevent the spread of the epidemic.
The public health sector has to strictly apply the measures for Covid-19 prevention and control such as wearing face masks, using antibacterial products, measuring body temperature, limiting the number of people who take care of the patients in hospitals and clinics.
Besides, the province will strengthen to draw the balance-sheet and provide funds to buy medical facilities, reagents for testing Covid-19. Moreover, it is important to ensure the safety of the national examination.
Chairman of the Hoi An People’s Committee Nguyen Van Son said that Hoi An was tracing the cases of F1, F2 to prevent the Covid-19 spread in communities. The city has used nearly VND 10 billion for the epidemic prevention and control.
According to Chairman of the Dien Ban People’s Committee, the town has used 2000 testing kits and is planning to buy more.
However, the shortage of reagents and technicians who can take samples of Covid-19 for testing make the authorities of Dien Ban worried. So, the town needs the supports from the Department of Public Health.
Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Tan asked the localities to deploy the plan of Covid-19 prevention and control.
