(QNO) - Besides carrying out a lot of programs, project and non-project work in Quang Nam province, World Vision International in Vietnam (WVI-V) has also supported local people to overcome the difficulties caused by natural disasters and Covid-19, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
Every year, WVI-V spends more than one million US dollars on the projects or programs of natural disaster mitigation, renewable and clean energy, child protection, regional development in Quang Nam.
According to Acting Chief Representative of WVI-V Dan Mtonga, WVI-V always accompanies and maintains a cooperative relationship with Quang Nam in an effort to support its local people.
According to a report of the Quang Nam Department of Foreign Affairs, the WVI-V has implemented many projects in the province, especially in mountainous areas and ethnic minorities with an average aid of about 35-40 billion VND per year since 1997.
Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Tan highly appreciates WVI-V’s support, which has contributed to improving the local life, especially in the mountainous areas, and to the Quang Nam socio-economic growth.
He also hopes WVI-V will have more new projects in the province in the coming time.
