(QNO) - On the occasion of Lao traditional new year festival (Buon Pi Mai from April 14-16), Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Tran Dinh Tung has just visited and wished all members of the Consulate General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (LPDR) in Da Nang city of Vietnam a happy new year.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman Tung confirmed the provincial leaders would do their utmost to strengthen Viet-Laos friendship and hoped the Consul General of the LPDR in Da Nang city would make the relationship between Quang Nam and Sekong provinces more steadfast.
In reply, the LPDR’s Consul General in Da Nang city Phommaseng Khamsene thanked the Quang Nam province’s Party Committee, authorities and people for their good sentiment. At the same time, Consul General Phommaseng Khamsene said the special traditional relationship between two Parties, two countries and cooperative relationship between Lao localities and Quang Nam province would be more and more developed finely.
* On April 11, the delegation led by Standing Deputy Secretary of the Quang Nam province Phan Viet Cuong visited the twinned Sekong province.
At the meeting in the headquarter of Sekong province’s official commission, on behalf of the Quang Nam provincial leaders, Mr Cuong sent the best congratulations to Sekong province’s authorities and people on the occasion of Lao Buon Pi Mai festival. Also, Mr Cuong wished the two countries Viet-Laos and the twin provinces a steadfast friendly relationship.
On this occasion, Sekong province’s leaders wished Quang Nam’s authorities and people good health and the election of Vietnam’s National Assembly’s 14th tenure and the People's Council at various levels for the term of office 2011-2016 good successes.
