(QNO) - Secretary of the Quang Nam provincial Party Committee Phan Viet Cuong played host to a delegation of the Lao Front for National Construction Committee (LFNC) in Sekong province led its Chairwoman Bunhien Bunchit on August 1.
At the reception, Secretary Cuong informed his guests of the provincial socio-economic situation.
He said, in the first 6 months of 2023, various delegations of Quang Nam provincial leaders and departments had working visits to Laos; thereby continuing to cultivate the good relationship between the two countries Vietnam - Laos in general and the two provinces of Quang Nam - Sekong in particular.
Secretary Cuong affirmed the relationship between Sekong and Quang Nam provinces has increasingly been tightened.
Over the years, Quang Nam has supported Sekong to build Dak Cheung police headquarters and Sekong Center for Disease Control.
In addition, Quang Nam has issued passports so that people in the Quang Nam - Sekong border areas can easily travel, trade and visit their relatives.
Chairwoman of the LFNC Bunhien Bunchit thanked for Quang Nam leaders’ warm welcome and Quang Nam support for Sekong province.
She also mentioned the results of the annual meeting between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province and the LFNC earlier.
Chairwoman Bunhien Bunchit said the LFNC will continue to better the traditional relationship between the two provinces in the coming time.
