A lot of evidence from archaeological sites shows that Hoi An used to be one of the earliest international trading ports in Vietnam.

There are 2000-year-old artifacts belonging to Sa Huynh culture, Chinese coins and metal objects in the Han Dynasty, Islamic onyx from Middle East, foreign documents and paintings, and Chinese and Japanese ceramics.

Because of an international trading port that was prosperous from the early 16th century to the late 19th century, Hoi An attracted merchants from China, France, India, Japan, Portugal, Spain, Thailand, etc. and became an international market.

It was a door to global economies at that time. The reappearance of Hoi An ancient trading port is expected to show a piece of culture of Hoi An attached to the stories of the Thu Bon river, craft villages, and traditional cultural activities.

The show is arranged from Japanese Bridge, through the streets in the ancient quarter to the Hoai river. Hoi An show hopes to provide its audiences with different interesting and impressive scenes.

The 120-minute show will happen on the evening of January 30, 2021. Then, it will become a nightly show in Hoi An ancient quarter.
