(QNO) - An event to promote Quang Nam tourism in India’s Mumbai city September 2023 attracted the partners in the tourism industry and the interest of the Indian movies.

Taking part in the event, Helly Shah - an Indian famous actress who has four million followers on Instagram, said: “Vietnam is an attractive destination for tourists and Bollywood”.
Helley Shah was impressed by the publications, images of tourism and handicraft products such as lanterns, paper fans, pottery and wicker products of Quang Nam province displayed at the event. So it was a great chance to widely introduce Quang Nam tourism in particular and Vietnam tourism in general.
At the same time, Bollywood filmmakers canl have opportunities to learn about and can choose Quang Nam and Vietnam’s beauties for their films.
Talking about her recent trip to Vietnam to participate in the program Hello Vietnam (Namaste Vietnam), Helly Shah shared, Vietnam is a beautiful country rich in culture, Vietnamese people are very friendly. So, visitors to Vietnam will have wonderful experiences.
At the event, Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and an Indian media company signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to promote tourism and destinations via media and movies.
Director and production designer of the film Mary Kom (Female Boxer) Omung Kumar said it is the first time Bollywood filmmakers have cooperated with a Vietnamese locality to create favourable conditions for Bollywood filmmakers and artists carring out their film projects in Vietnam in the coming time.
Chances for Quang Nam tourism
Speaking at the event, the leader of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) Harish Mathur reaffirmed that many Indian tourists have been aware of the timeless beauties, the impressive friendliness of Vietnamese people, especially the professional and quality tourism services offered by many hotels and resorts of the region.
Among them there are more and more Indian people who wish to celebrate their weddings at beautiful resorts in Da Nang and Quang Nam…
Indian tourism experts forecast the number of Indian visitors to Vietnam will increase. Vietnam has become a favorite destination for Indian tourists in Southeast Asia.
Recently, the Da Nang Department of Tourism has had a discussion with airlines and travel companies in India about opening direct flights and exploiting tourists to Da Nang in the coming time. It will also create opportunities for Quang Nam to receive Indian tourists from Da Nang.
