Exhibition celebrating 50 years of liberation in Quang Nam
(QNO) - On March 21, the Quang Nam People's Committee inaugurated an exhibition showcasing the province's socio-economic and security achievements and local typical products. Present at the event were provincial leaders

The event marks the 50th anniversary of Quang Nam’s liberation (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the provincial Party Committee’s founding (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025).

There are 72 booths at the exhibition, held at the Quang Nam Cultural Centre in Tam Ky from March 21 to 25. Among them are 28 dedicated to economic and social progress and 44 showcasing OCOP-certified products and specialities.
It provides a comprehensive overview of the province’s transformation, highlighting key economic sectors, cultural advancements, and historical milestones.

At the opening ceremony, Phan Thai Binh, Standing Deputy Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People's Committee, emphasised the exhibition’s significance in honouring Quang Nam’s 50-year historical journey and its remarkable development.
From a war-torn province, Quang Nam has emerged as a strong industrial and tourism hub, achieving financial self-sufficiency and contributing to the Central budget by 2017.

Quang Nam's economic growth has been impressive, with the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) rising by an average of 8.7% annually since 1997.
Key developments include the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, expanded industrial clusters, and major transport infrastructure. The province has also successfully developed high-value OCOP products, boosting local agriculture, handicrafts, and tourism.
The event also includes an awards ceremony for competitions on Quang Nam’s history and culture, celebrating the province’s resilience and progress. It serves as both a tribute to the past and a call to action for continued growth and prosperity.
