Development of a logistics hub in Chu Lai
(QNO) - Chu Lai International Port (under THILOGI, a THACO member) is emerging as a key logistics hub in Central Vietnam, linking Southern Laos and Northern Cambodia while driving regional trade and economic growth.

Chu Lai International Port (Tier-1) spans 140ha with two terminals handling up to 50,000DWT ships. Equipped with high-capacity cranes and 300,000m² warehouses, it ensures efficient logistics. Director Phan Van Ky emphasizes ongoing upgrades for optimal transport solutions.

During his visit on Feb 8, 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh commended THILOGI’s efforts in upgrading Chu Lai Port. To accommodate large vessels, THILOGI is expediting the Ky Ha channel dredging (-9.3m), set for completion by June 2025. He also urged swift approval for the Cua Lo channel project, enabling 50,000DWT+ ships by 2028, reducing logistics costs nationwide.

Quang Nam prioritizes marine economy development, upgrading key highways to boost East-West trade. By 2027, Chu Lai Port targets becoming a multi-purpose container logistics hub with expanded infrastructure and international shipping routes.
THILOGI plans to launch two container ships (3,600 TEU) by late 2025, connecting Chu Lai to major Asian ports and global markets.
To enhance regional logistics, the company established Indochina Transport Co., expanding logistics efficiency, strengthening Quang Nam’s industrial growth and regional trade.
