International visitors' experience at Kim Bong festival
(QNO) - On the afternoon of February 8, the Kim Bong Traditional Craft Village Festival in Cam Kim, Hoi An officially opened. Many international visitors eagerly experienced traditional mat and basket weaving of the village.
The 2025 Kim Bong Traditional Craft Village Festival took place on February 8 - 9. Coming to the festival, visitors enjoyed craft exhibitions, live demonstrations, hands-on experiences, the Kim Bong countryside market, folk games, culinary activities, and Bai Choi singing performances.
Many international tourists were curious and excited to try basket weaving and mat making under the guidance of skilled village artisans.
According to Huynh Ngoc Hung, Chairman of the Cam Kim Commune People's Committee, the festival honors the craft ancestors while preserving and promoting the unique values of the traditional village and the tranquil countryside of Cam Kim.
It also supports the village’s development into an eco-friendly craft destination, attracting visitors and improving local livelihoods.
