(QNO) - During the recent Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, Quang Nam’s World Cultural Heritage Sites welcomed a large number of domestic and international visitors.

In Hoi An ancient town, a UNESCO listed World Cultural Heritage Site, the number of tourists surged during the early days of the Lunar New Year(2025).

At Tra Que vegetable village (Hoi An city), farmers continued to tend their lush crops throughout the holiday. The site became a lively destination where both domestic and international tourism participated in farming activities, working alongside the local community.

Ms. Siobhan, a tourists from Australia, shared, she arrived just in time for Vietnam’s Tet celebration and was delighted by the vibrant and joyful atmosphere. Experiencing farm life in Tra Que Village made her trip even more memorable.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Khiet, Director of the Management Board of the My Son World Cultural Heritage Site, stated the recently, the unit has collaborated with India experts to establish an additional exhibition hall and digitize numerous artifacts discovered during excavations within the heritage site.

The My Son Cultural Heritage Site has also integrated Italian and Spanish languages, bringing the total number of languages available for interpretation at the site to eight, including Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, French, English, Italian, and Spanish.

The total number of visitors to Quang Nam during the Lunar New Year 2025 holiday, is estimated at 395,000, marking a 30% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Of these, international visitors are estimated at 157,000, a 40% rise from the same period in 2024, while domestic visitors are estimated at 238,000, a 14% increase from the same period in 2024.
