Da Nang welcomes first charter flight from Jakarta (Indonesia)
(QNO) - At 1:30 AM on December 19, 2024, flight QG870 from Jakarta International Airport brought 170 Indonesian tourists to Da Nang city.
Indonesian tourists arriving in Da Nang were greeted by local tourism officials, airport representatives, and a travel agency alliance with specialty gifts and destination brochures.
During their 4-day visit, they explored attractions like Ba Na Hills, Marble Mountains, and APEC Park while enjoying local cuisine and entertainment.
The Jakarta - Da Nang charter route, operated by Citilink Indonesia with an Airbus A320, will run seven flights from December 2024 to January 2025, aiming to bring over 1,200 Indonesian visitors. If successful, it may become a regular service in 2025.
Indonesia is a key market for Da Nang's tourism, with recent promotions including events and fam trips involving 70 Indonesian travel companies. The new flight route connects Da Nang to Indonesia's 280 million population.
Since the beginning of this year , Da Nang welcomed over 38,000 Indonesian visitors.
