Certificate of the best tourism village 2024 to Tra Que vegetable village
(QNO) - The United Nations Tourism (UN Tourism) gave a certificate of the best tourism village in the world 2024 to Tra Que vegetable village within the framework of the 1st International Conference on Tourism for Rural Development on December 10 in Quang Nam provine.
Tra Que vegetable village (Quang Nam province), about 3km from the Hoi An ancient town, was founded in the 17th century.
It is famous for its traditional, unique organic vegetable-growing methods.
Currently, Tra Que vegetable village is orientated to combine agricultural development with community tourism, attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists.
The village covers an area of 18 hectares and involves over 200 households, providing a stable source of income for the community.
UN Tourism recognizes Tra Que vegetable village as an outstanding example of rural tourism destinations with recognized cultural and natural assets that preserve and promote community-based values, products, and lifestyles, handicrafts, and have a clear commitment to sustainability in all its aspects, including local hospitality, economic, social, and environmental ones.
The certificate gives Tra Que vegetable village a chance to expand internationally and establish itself as a popular tourist destination in Quang Nam and throughout Vietnam.
