Vietnam receives nearly 16 million international arrivals in 11 months

(QNO) - The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism estimates that total revenue from Vietnam's tourism industry in the first 11 months of 2024 will reach approximately 758 trillion VND.

Accordingly, the total number of international visitors in the past 11 months reached nearly 16 million arrivals, a 41.0% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

Visitors from Asia accounted for nearly 80% of the total international arrivals to Vietnam, with over 12.6 million arrivals.

Air travelers accounted for the largest number, with over 1.4 million arrivals, followed by land routes with over 277,000 arrivals, and sea routes with 32,000 arrivals.

November saw the highest international arrivals of the year, with Vietnam on track to reach its goal of 17-18 million international visitors in 2024.

Domestic tourism in November was estimated at 4.5 million, with 3.0 million overnight stays, bringing the total for the first 11 months of 2024 to 105 million.
