Quang Nam attracts foreign investors
(QNO) - With its inherent potential and improved investment environment, Quang Nam has become an attractive destination for foreign investors.
Quang Nam province has made substantial strides in investment attraction in 2024, emphasizing its role as a crucial driver for economic growth and international integration.
In 2024, the province has licensed 29 domestic projects with a total capital of 4.915 trillion VND and approved 10 new FDI projects worth 134.85 million USD, raising the total to 201 active FDI projects valued at 6.36 billion USD, mostly in processing and manufacturing sectors.
Major FDI sources include Singapore (over 4 billion USD), South Korea (nearly 950 million USD), China (over 413 million USD), and Japan (140 million USD). These projects are concentrated in the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone and industrial zones.
In October 2024, Quang Nam leaders visited Japan to enhance ties, promoting tourism, culture, and investment. Key engagements included an Investment Promotion Workshop in Nagasaki and discussions with companies in Osaka and Tokyo, attracting interest from Japanese investors.
Chairman Le Van Dung reaffirmed Quang Nam’s commitment to fostering a transparent, business-friendly environment. The province aims to attract high-tech industries, sustainable agriculture, and innovative startups, bolstering its economic and industrial potential.
