Hoi An: City of ecology, culture, and tourism
(QNO) - Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) is planned to become an eco-cultural-tourism destination by 2030.
Accordingly, the city will meet 48 environmental criteria, provide 95% of households and businesses with clean water, ensure 70% of tourism businesses with "Green Tourism" standards, and have all communes and wards with rural and urban standards.
In terms of culture and society, Hoi An aims to preserve and promote 100% of its tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
The city will complete essential infrastructure projects, ensuring that 100% of communes, wards, and schools meet exemplary standards. Health insurance coverage will reach 98%, and all communes will meet national healthcare standards. Around 50% of the workforce will be in service and tourism sectors, with 75% receiving training (40% with degrees or certificates).
In terms of the economy, Hoi An aims for 10% annual growth in tourism, at least 5 million visitors per year.
