Quang Nam supports the development of OCOP products
(QNO) - Quang Nam province has supported businesses and cooperatives in developing OCOP (One Commune, One Product) products to boost rural economic growth.
For example, the Que Son district People's Committee has established an interagency task force to guide local authorities and producers in registering products for the OCOP program and has organized training sessions for local officials and producers.
Recently, the mountainous district of Hiep Duc has actively supported the development of OCOP products. From 2021 to 2023, over 1.1 billion VND was allocated to help local businesses and cooperatives develop 10 new 3-star OCOP products.
By the end of 2023, there were 407 products recognized as meeting OCOP standards by the provincial and district-level People's Committees across 18 districts, towns, and cities in Quang Nam.
The leading localities in terms of the number of OCOP products recognized with 3-4 star ratings over more than six years of the program are Tien Phuoc, Thang Binh, Dai Loc, and Tam Ky.
