Quang Nam's donation to Sekong's social welfare activities
(QNO) - On the occasion of the Quang Nam-Sekong meeting of high-level delegations taking place on September 27, 2024, Quang Nam sent a donation of VND500 million to Sekong's social welfare activities.
According to Le Van Dung, Chairman of the Quang Nam People's Committee, the gift is part of the provincial foreign affairs program in 2024 to strengthen and deepen the special friendship between Quang Nam and Sekong, as well as the relationship between Vietnam and Laos.
On behalf of Quang Nam's leadership, Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and Chairman Le Van Dung sent a symbolic donation of VND 500 million to Sekong Secretary and Governor Leklay Sivilay.
The gift showed the solidarity of Quang Nam’s Party, Government, and people towards their sister province, Sekong, which has been facing difficulties recently.
With this tiny donation, Quang Nam wishes to support Sekong's social welfare activities and home construction for the impoverished, particularly those living in the villages along the Quang Nam - Sekong border.
