At the working session, Alounxai Sounnalath encouraged THACO to invest in agriculture in Champasak because of its favourable climate and well-developed irrigation systems.

Besides, with its location on the East-West Economic Corridor with access to Cambodia and Thailand and many scenic spots, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wat Phou, Champasak hoped THACO would expand cooperation in logistics development to transport goods from southern Laos to international markets through Chu Lai Port.
