Tam Ky awarded 49 scholarships sponsored by Dr. Alan L.Brooks
(QNO) - On the afternoon of September 27, the 31th anniversary of the Scholarship Fund sponsored by Dr. Alan L. Brooks (1993–2023) was held in Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province.
At the scholarship award ceremony, 49 students from Tam Ky received scholarships, including 30 junior high school students and 19 high school students, each scholarship is worth 2 million VND, totaling 98 million VND.
30 years ago, Brooks - an American veteran who used to work at a hospital in Quang Tin province before 1975, returned to Vietnam in 1993.
The scholarship fund established by Dr. Alan L. Brooks has been providing support for 30 years for the children of Tam Ky city, with nearly 1,500 scholarships awarded to date.
