Laos' Third-class Independence Medal to Quang Nam leaders
(QNO) - On the morning of September 27, a ceremony took place in Tam Ky city (Quang Nam province) to announce and present the Independence Medal from the Lao People's Democratic Republic to leaders of Quang Nam province (Vietnam).
Present at the ceremony were Governor of Sekong province Leklay Sivilay, Consul General of Laos in Danang city Souphanh Hadaoheuang, Quang Nam leaders, and others.
At the award ceremony, the Third-class Independence Medal from the Lao People's Democratic Republic was granted to six individuals from Quang Nam, including: Le Van Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Xuan Ca, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Commission for Propaganda; Deputy Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council Tran Xuan Vinh and Nguyen Cong Thanh; and Deputy Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu and Tran Anh Tuan.
The individuals received the Laos' Independence Medal for their outstanding contributions to Sekong's development. The ceremony marked the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 45th anniversary of the Friendship Treaty between Vietnam and Laos, highlighting the 40-year friendship between Quang Nam and Sekong.
Sekong leaders expressed a desire to continue receiving the affection, contributions, and support from Quang Nam leaders, further strengthening the traditional friendship and solidarity between the two provinces and the two countries.
Le Van Dung, on behalf of Quang Nam leaders receiving the prestigious award from the Lao Party and State, extended deep gratitude to the Lao Party, State, and people for their recognition and kindness towards Quang Nam. He stated that the contributions of Quang Nam's leaders aimed to strengthen the friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
Le Van Dung also talked about the unique friendship between Vietnam and Laos, highlighting their unity and shared development goals, especially the strong bond between Quang Nam and Sekong.
He also expressed his pride in receiving the award and committed to nurturing this friendship, urging efforts to safeguard their accomplishments and support mutual development.
