A South Korean company expands its investment in Quang Nam
(QNO) - South Korea’s Oriental Commerce Vina company (OCC Vina) has just decided to invest 7.2 million USD in a project on manufacturing supporting industry products in Tam Thang Industrial Park, Quang Nam province.
On September 19, the Chu Lai Industrial Zone Infrastructure Development Company Limited (CIZIDCO) announced a Memorandum of Agreement for Investment with OCC Vina in the Tam Thang Industrial Park.
Accordingly, OCC Vina will invest in the project on manufacturing supporting products for the packaging industry. The factory covers an area of 32,000m2 with a total investment capital of more than 182 billion VND (equivalent to 7.2 million USD).
It is the third time OCC Vina has expanded production in Quang Nam.
According to statistics, the Tam Thang Industrial Park, covering an area of 197 hectares, has attracted 24 projects, including 20 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a total registered capital of 749 million USD and 4 domestic projects with a total capital of 356.6 billion VND.
Most of the companies in the Tam Thang Industrial Park come from Korea, Germany, Hong Kong, such as Panko Group, Hyosung Group, Fashion Garments, CTR, Amann, Wendler, Lisa Draxlmaier, creating job opportunities for 12,600 labourers.
