A health-supporting drink made from Bidens Pilosa
(QNO) - The Bidens Pilosa, also known as the wild daisy, is a wild-growing plant in Vietnam that has been processed into a valuable medicinal remedy by Vu Thi Cam Van from Bac Tra My (Quang Nam province).
Cam Van accidentally learnt about the benefits of the Bidens Pilosa from Australian and Japanese nutrition experts, including its ability to prevent gout, high cholesterol, heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
Thanks to this knowledge, her mother, who had suffered a stroke, regained her health.
After three years of using Bidens Pilosa, Cam Van confidently invested in technology, equipment, and carefully chosen raw materials to make Bidens Pilosa tea in 2022 after witnessing improvements in her family's health and receiving support from others.
In addition, Cam Van made the investment in a freeze-drying machine to preserve the nutrients in the Bidens Pilosa.
To meet the big market demands of Bidens Pilosa tea, she has produced tea bag varieties and sell them on e-commerce channels.
According to a leader of Bac Tra My, Cam Van's start-up idea and her tea bags made from Bidens Pilosa are appreciated. The local government is supporting and encouraging her to participate in the OCOP (One Commune, One product) programme, which will provide her with more opportunities for commercial promotion and market expansion.
