Training on hygiene education and emergency preparedness for students and teachers in Quang Nam
(QNO) - On September 14, the East Meets West Foundation (EMWF), in collaboration with the Thang Binh district Study Promotion Association, organized the opening of a training program on hygiene education and emergency preparedness for students and teachers at Nguyen Van Troi Primary School in Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province.
It is a part of the program “Empowering education and sustainable practices for Vietnamese children,” funded by Boeing Vietnam and implemented by the EMWF.
Principal of Nguyen Van Troi Primary School, Pham Duc Luan, said that the training program has equipped teachers and students of the school with disaster prevention skills, limiting accidents and falls, and especially staying away from dangerous places when natural disasters occur.
In 2006, the EMWF sponsored Nguyen Van Troi Primary School to build 12 new classrooms in a 2-story building and 4 classrooms on the ground floor.
Alongside this program, the EMWF also sponsored the construction of two new climate resilient compassion homes for student families in Thang Binh district.
