Regulations for homestay pilot in Hoi An ancient town
(QNO) - The People's Committee of Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) has recently announced adjustments to the pilot regulations for the homestay model, where tourists can experience living with local residents in the ancient town.
Previously, the Hoi An People's Committee had issued several regulations, including those concerning the entities eligible to operate this homestay model.
Recently, the city has decided to adjust the regulations, stipulating that the entities eligible to operate this model must be indigenous Hoi An residents who have permanent residency and actually live in the house where the service is provided.
Additionally, these households must have been awarded the title of "Typical Cultural Family" at the ward or commune level or higher and have a good reputation within the local community. Alternatively, they must have been recognized as a "Cultural Family" for three consecutive years.
The city also prioritizes and encourages households that integrate traditional production and business activities into their daily lives, along with cultural and artistic activities, allowing tourists to partake in these experiences.
