The MOU extension signed between Japan’s KOSEN and the University of Danang
(QNO) - On September 6, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, President of the University of Danang, presided over a meeting and signed an extension of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Japan's National Institute of Technology (KOSEN).
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu mentioned that some aspects of the agreement signed in 2019 have not been implemented as expected due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Therefore, the visit of KOSEN's leadership and the signing of the MOU extension between the University of Danang and KOSEN on September 6, 2024, mark a significant step toward a more effective and practical phase of international cooperation.
The MOU extension focuses on key areas such as academic exchange, international student exchange, collaboration on joint research projects, and strengthening the "three pillars" of: the government, industry, and academia.
These efforts aim to continuously improve the quality of education and scientific research while leveraging the strengths and potential of both institutions.
In addition to fundamental knowledge training, KOSEN emphasizes the development of practical skills and career applications, especially in key industries like semiconductors and artificial intelligence (AI). They aim to connect more Japanese businesses and partners with the University of Danang to foster further collaboration.
