Diversification of product designs
It is vital to diversify product designs to meet customers' preferences.
In early 2022, Au Lac Wood Art Co., Ltd. (located in Dien Phong commune, Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province) started to produce wooden handicrafts featuring animated character designs. As a result, Au Lac products are popular with younger customers, including those from the United States, France, Australia, and Taiwan.
Currently, many production facilities in craft villages in Quang Nam are adjusting their product designs based on customer preferences and demands. The shift plays a crucial role in the development of businesses and the craft villages themselves, ensuring their ability to compete and grow in the market.
In addition to diversifying designs, craft villages in Quang Nam are applying new technologies, improving product quality, and utilising multi-channel markets to sell their products. These efforts not only contribute to preserving traditional crafts but also promote the sustainable development of these villages.
Continuous creativity
There are currently 45 craft villages with approximately 2,200 manufacturing facilities in Quang Nam.
At Củi Lũ (driftwood) village in Hoi An, the skilled woodworkers from Kim Bong carpentry village make unique products in the essence of Quang Nam. Using driftwood collected after flooding, these artisans want to convey a meaningful message of regenerative art and sustainable development to visitors through their creations.
