The Lao National Assembly delegation visits the Lower Laos Resistance Base
(QNO) - On the occasion of the working tour to Quang Nam, the delegation from the Lao National Assembly had a visit to the Lower Lao Resistance Base and the South Central Regional Bureau of Border Affairs in Phu Thinh town (Phu Ninh district) on September 4.
The Lao delegation was led by Sommad Pholsena, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of Laos, and accompanied by Nguyen Duc Hai, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, and Quang Nam leaders.
Going to this place, the Lao delegation learnt more about the Lower Lao Resistance Base and the process of building and developing the resistance movement against the French on the Lower Lao battlefield.
This historic site marks an important milestone in the struggle for independence by the armed forces and people of both countries, reaffirming the long-standing friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.
Nguyen Duc Hai expressed his pleasure and pride in accompanying Sommad Pholsena and the Lao delegation to the Lower Lao Resistance Base. He also believed that the special Vietnam - Laos solidarity always maintains and develops.
On this particular occasion, the Lao delegation viewed pictures and artefacts in the exhibition area and posed for souvenir photos at the Lower Lao Resistance Base and the South Central Regional Bureau of Border Affairs.
