Da Nang promotes the launch of a direct flight route from Indonesia
(QNO) - A delegation from Da Nang, led by Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang city Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, has just had a meeting with representatives of Garuda Indonesia (the national airline of Indonesia) and Citilink Indonesia to promote a direct flight route from Indonesia to Da Nang.
Da Nang is an attractive destination for Indonesian tourists due to its cultural heritage, festival recognition, short flight distance, and visa-free policy for ASEAN countries.
Indonesia, with the largest population in Southeast Asia (nearly 300 million people, the fourth largest in the world), represents a significant potential market for Da Nang's tourism, given the locals' enthusiasm for travel.
Da Nang is pushing to open a direct flight route from Indonesia to enhance tourism and economic ties between the two countries of Vietnam and Indonesia in the coming time.
During the meeting, Citilink Indonesia and PT.UOS Travel announced plans to launch a charter flight route from Jakarta to Da Nang, expected in December 2024.
Citilink Indonesia, established in 2001, is a low-cost airline prioritizing safety, currently operating 59 aircraft on over 80 domestic and international routes.
