The first Vietnam Destination Wedding launched in Da Nang
(QNO) - The Vietnam Destination Wedding 2024 (VDW) conference was organized for the first time by The Planners and InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, with the support of Da Nang Department of Tourism.
The Vietnam Destination Wedding Conference (VDW 2024) was held from June 5-7 in Da Nang, with the participation of 50 of the most prominent brands in the wedding tourism sector from Vietnam and around the world.
Mrs. Nguyen Ha Van, co-founder of The Planners and co-creator of VDW 2024, expressed her hope that this event will become an annual forum for Vietnamese wedding event organizers to exchange, discuss, and share information and experiences in building and developing domestic wedding tourism.
The wedding tourism trend is still relatively new in Vietnam, while the global wedding tourism market is growing at a rate of 32.8% annually.
According to the Destination Wedding Global Report 2023, the market was valued at over 101 billion USD in 2023 and is projected to reach 134 billion USD by 2027.
In the Asia-Pacific region, weddings account for 40.52% of the global wedding market, with an annual growth rate of 16.48%. Alongside Indonesia, Thailand, Maldives, India, Vietnam is emerging as an attractive wedding destination in this area.
According to the organizers of VDW Congress 2024, Da Nang was chosen as the first location to host Vietnam Destination Wedding 2024 because it is one of the most popular destinations for couples, known for its diverse natural landscapes and beautiful long coastlines, convenient location for travel, rich and attractive cuisine, and has been voted as the most livable city in Vietnam.
