JICA’s recommendations on Hoi An urban wastewater management
(QNO) - Leaders of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Hoi An city, representatives of the Hoi An Public Works Joint Stock Company and the Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation, had a working session with the experts from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on urban wastewater management on June 6.
At the meeting, Mr. Tamoto Norihide, JICA Expert of Sewerage Policy Advisor presented the topic "Urban wastewater management" with several feasible solutions for Hoi An city to reduce urban flooding.
Mr. Tamoto Norihide also talked about soft solutions related to information systems to support the reduction of flooding.
Several smart technologies and operations have been proposed in wastewater management. These solutions are very necessary and suitable for Hoi An, a smart city in Quang Nam province.
Tamoto Norihide's recommendations are very important for Hoi An city to develop new infrastructure, especially for the smart city project that the city is building.
