The visit aimed to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Vietnamese experts' departure from their homeland to aid Cambodia (1979 - 2024) and the 35th celebration of their return (1989 - 2024).

The Quang Nam delegation called on the Consulate General of Vietnam in Battambang Province and the Battambang Provincial Administration during the visit, which took place from May 25 to 29.

They then offered incense to the valiant Vietnamese martyrs at the Cambodia - Vietnam Friendship Monument.

In addition, the delegation travelled to beautiful locations in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, such as the Royal Palace, Angkor Thom (the last capital of the Khmer Empire), Ta Rrohm Temple, and Angkor Wat Temple (a World Cultural Heritage).
