Ngo Thi Loc's cough syrup start-up project, which uses black garlic, lemon, and basil, won the consolation prize at the Quang Nam start-up competition in 2023.

Then, Loc founded Loc Nhien Phat Cooperative, making healthcare products. Her start-up project is considered a lean model. She has applied technology and digital transformation during production and consumption.

Loc has invested in automation to reduce the number of labourers. At the same time, all the marketing and sales processes take place via the Internet.

Reportedly, Loc Nhien Phat products are currently sold via social networks, such as Facebook, Zalo, and Tiktok, as well as the e-commercial platform Shopee.

On average, the cooperative received more than 1,000 orders, with an average revenue of about VND 500 million per month.

The Bao Linh coconut cake brand has reached foreign markets, such as the US, South Korea, and China, thanks to online selling.

According to Phan Dinh Tuan, Director of the Bao Linh Production and Trade Cooperative, his cooperative has invested in machinery and equipment, changing designs, and developing online marketing.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Bao Linh products have been advertised and sold online via e-commercial platforms and social networks, bringing in billions of Vietnamese dongs a month.

Regarding the Ba Ba Hoi Cooperative, it is a pioneer brand from Quang Nam officially exporting its products, including poached scad, banh chung (Vietnamese square sticky rice cake), and Quang noodles with frogs, to the US market.

Huynh Thi Thu Thuy, Director of the Ba Ba Hoi Cooperative, said that the internet connection has helped the cooperative have opportunities to collaborate with such a big import-export enterprise and get such large orders.

According to Pham Ngoc Sinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology and Head of the Executive Board for Supporting Creative Start-ups in Quang Nam, the provincial start-up movement has recently developed strongly.

The number of start-up projects has continuously increased, from coastal to mountainous areas. Quang Nam may be the only locality nationwide to have a vast and strong start-up support network.

Reportedly, Quang Nam launched the movement of innovative start-ups and digital transformation many years ago. The province also encouraged enterprises and entrepreneurs to apply advanced technology in their production and consumption to reduce investment costs for a project.

In addition, along with the provincial government's efforts in digital transformation, Quang Nam has issued a lot of mechanisms and policies to support enterprises and entrepreneurs in digital transformation, especially promoting the development of e-commercial platforms, such as sanpham.quangnam.gov, voso.vn, and khoinghiep.quangnam.gov.vn.

These websites have helped introduce Quang Nam start-up products, OCOP products, and typical industrial and rural products to consumers.
