Hoi An organizes guided tours at Kim Bong carpentry village
(QNO) - Hoi An has issued a plan to organize guided tours at Kim Bong carpentry village to preserve and promote its historical and cultural values, creating a new attraction for tourists.
In Phase 1, the tour program at Kim Bong carpentry village includes an introduction to the history and culture of the village, visiting traditional craft exhibition houses, experiencing traditional crafts like mat weaving and bamboo and rattan weaving, visiting boatbuilding and repair facilities, exploring woodworking production facilities, observing craftsmen at work, visiting Cam Kim market and learning about the daily life of local residents.
For adults, the ticket price for the tour is 35,000 VND per person. Groups of 15 or more receive a discount of 1 ticket per group. Children residing in Hoi An are granted free admission, while children from outside the city receive a 50% discount off the adult ticket price.
Visitors who purchase 8 or more tickets will receive complimentary tour guiding and commentary services. Additionally, guests with admission tickets will receive a souvenir gift, which is a traditional product from Cam Kim village.
After establishing the basic guided tour program with entrance tickets, in Phase 2, the city will organize additional linked tour programs.
These include visiting the craft center in conjunction with historical and cultural sites, experiencing various crafts at Cam Kim village, expanding community tourism programs, and implementing linked tour programs within Hoi An and neighboring areas.
