(QNO) - The Da Nang Department of Tourism organized the Da Nang FantastiCity Booth at South Asia’s Travel & Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2024 at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, in India from February 22 to 24.
It was the second time Da Nang has participated in the SATTE to promote its tourism to the potential Indian market, which is now the fourth biggest foreign tourism market in Da Nang city.
SATTE is considered the largest fair in South Asia. It brought together more than 48,000 attendees, 1,800 exhibitors, and more than 800 international and domestic Indian buyers from over 120 countries in 2024.
The Da Nang FantastiCity Booth included nearly 20 tourism businesses from Da Nang and Vietnam in general, 1.6 times that of last year.
At the fair, Da Nang also connected with airlines to strengthen partnerships and promote direct flights from India to Da Nang.
At the same time, the Da Nang tourism industry had working sessions with wedding tourism organizations to launch wedding tourism in Da Nang in 2024.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An - Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, India is one of the breakthrough tourism markets for Da Nang destinations in the local tourism recovery. Indian tourists to Da Nang will increase in the near future. SATTE 2024 is an opportunity to attract Indian tourists to the city.
Since the beginning of the year 2024, Da Nang tourism has continued to welcome large-scale, high-spending MICE (Meeting - Incentives - Conferences and Exhibitions) groups and wedding tourists, such as the MICE delegation of the Indian Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI) with more than 400 guests at Furama Resort Danang, a wedding of an Indian billionaire with more than 400 guests at Shreaton Grand Danang Resort and Convention Center, a wedding of an Indian couple with more than 200 guests at Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa, etc. It is hoped to have more delegations and events in the coming time.
