Tet greetings from Japanese Consul General to Quang Nam
The Japanese Consul General in Da Nang city, Yakabe Yoshinori, has just visited and offered greetings to Secretary of the Quang Nam provincial Party Committee, Luong Nguyen Minh Triet on occasion of the traditional Vietnamese New Year (Tet) 2024, the Year of the Dragon.
At the meeting, the Japanese Consul General in Da Nang, Yakabe Yoshinori, said Japan is interested in cooperation with Vietnam, including Quang Nam province, in the fields of tourism and high-quality human resources.
Quang Nam has currently attracted 18 direct investment projects from Japan with a total investment capital of 140 million USD, mainly in industrial development, tourism, services, etc.
In addition, non-governmental aid projects from Japan in Quang Nam focus on health, education, and agricultural and rural economic development. Among them, the Japanese Foundation for International Development/Relief (FIDR) has effectively operated in mountainous localities of Quang Nam, such as Nam Giang and Tay Giang districts.
On behalf of Quang Nam leaders, Secretary Triet sent New Year greetings to Consul General Yakabe Yoshinori as well as the staff of the Japanese Consulate General in Da Nang city.
Besides, Secretary Triet hoped the Consul General of Japan in Da Nang city and his colleagues would continue to act as a bridge to call Japanese investors and visitors to Quang Nam and promote friendly cooperation between Quang Nam and Japan’s Nagasaki and Kinokawa localities in all fields.
He also wished the Japanese Consulate General would introduce and support Quang Nam students in studying Japanese.
Recently, Consul General Yakabe Yoshinori has made efforts to maintain good cooperative relations with Quang Nam province as well as support and promote friendly cooperation between Quang Nam and Japanese partners.
