InterContinental Danang opens Hoi An historical exhibition
The exhibition 'A Brief History of Vietnam,' curated by architect Bill Bensley takes place from February 11 to April 30 at InterContinental Danang.
The exhibition presents 30 paintings portraying the historical journey of Da Nang and Hoi An from the 17th to the 22nd centuries. It showcases Vietnam's prominence in the 17th-18th centuries with images of trade connections with Europe and Korea, adventurous voyages to southern Chile and the French departure.
All historical milestones are vividly depicted with artistic flair through Bensley's unique style.
Visitors have the chances to acquire Bensley's artworks, with proceeds donated to charity, including the Shinta Mani Foundation. Bill will also host an intimate talk titled “Lecture on painting by Bill Bensley” at the resort's Moulin Rouge on February 9th.
In addition, creative activities at the resort in February promise to satisfy visitors of all ages. Guests can join the luck prayer ceremony at the Dia Tang Shrine from February 10th to 12th and sign up for banh chung making classes at the Barefoot restaurant garden from February 10th to 13th.
Guests can also enjoy daily afternoon tea and exquisite dishes at the Citron restaurant from February 1st to 18th. For relaxation and enjoying various Vietnamese-themed cocktails with a panoramic beach view, the L_o_n_g Bar is the perfect spot. An evening beach barbecue at the Barefoot restaurant or a Champagne-themed Sunday brunch at Citron are ideal occasions to connect with loved ones.
