Morning in Tam Hiep port
More and more ships have docked at Tam Hiep port in last 6 months since it went into operation.
Chu Lai- Truong Hai port is a central potential sea port loading capacity of 1.6 million tonnes of cargo and 56 thousands of TEU containers per year. |
Around 9:30 AM, Truong Hai Star ship’s whistle resounded to signal it was ready to dock at Chu Lai- Truong Hai port. A freeder ship cleaved the wave toward the ship. After haft an hour of docking, cargo discharging work started. Containers of spare parts and components for assembling and manufacturing automobiles of Truong Hai auto joint stock company (THACO) were unloaded by Liebherr crane. Every 10 minutes, a tractive truck came to receive containers and brought them to the THACO’ s factory.
All cargo discharging works at Chu Lai- Truong Hai port have been mechanised. There were at least 150 containers in every ship, therefore, it needed a day long to unloading. After all containers discharged, Truong Hai Star ship left the port for another journey.

With exploiting capacity of 1.6 mn cargo tons and 56 thousand TEU containers per year, Chu Lai-Truong Hai is a potencial sea port of the Central Vietnam.
