Quang Nam introduces investment opportunities to Japanese investors

(QNO) - A conference on promoting investment in Quang Nam province was co-organised on August 25 in Tokyo, Japan,  by the Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee, the Vietnam Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan and the ASEAN-Japan Centre.

Addressing at the conference, Vietnam Ambassador to Japan Doan Xuan Hung emphasized the relationship between Vietnam and Japan has been fundamentally developed on mutual trust. It’s a solid basis for developing  the  mutual relationship in both depth and width, particularly in trading and investment relationship.

Quang Nam province located in the key economic zone of Central Vietnam and has favourable geography and hardworking labour force. It is also rich in mineral resources, developed infrastructure. All these advantages make Quang Nam an ideal destination for foreign investors.

MPI Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Trung said that the Vietnamese government will support Japanese businesses in ironing out snags in investment, and urged them to focus on high-tech and energy saving projects.

 Former Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Norio Hattori emphasized the strengths and favourable conditions of investment environment in Vietnam such as: the stable political situation, the Vietnamese people’s deep sympathy with Japanese  people and culture, investment license procedures and tax incentives, particularly the similar culture and traits between two countries.

At the event, representatives from the provincial People’s Committee, Department of Economy Zone Management, the Vietnam MPI, Quang Nam provincial Industrial Zones also provided more details information on the province’s potential, investment opportunities, investment procedures, and preferential policies to foreign enterprises investing in industrial and economic zones in Vietnam in general  and Quang Nam in particular.

Paying the attention to the investments in Quang Nam, many representatives from Japanese enterprises gave questions about Quang Nam’s investment preferential policy.
