Over 85,000 tourists visited Quang Nam in the Lunar New year holiday
(QNO) - In the first ten days of Tet Nguyen Dan holiday (Lunar New Year of the Goat), Quang Nam province welcomed over 85,000 tourists. Among them are more than 15,000 international who visited Quang Nam by cruisers, up 13 percent from the same period last year. Most of tourists visited the two UNESCO-recognised world cultural heritage sites of Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary.

During the Tet holiday, numerous events were organised in Hoi An city, local destinations and My Son Sanctuary to introduce Quang Nam and Champa traditional culture, musical performances, exhibitions… In the first 3 days of Tet, Hoi An Ancient town welcomed dozen thousands of tourists without entrance tickets. The travel agencies and tourist companies of Quang Nam province also offered tourists a number of options to local attractive destinations. Hoi An city organised the “Planting Water Coconut Day” in Cam Thanh commune, attracting thousands of foreign tourists to participate.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has intensified the cooperation with the Departments of Transport and Communications, Industry and Trade, and Police to improve the quality of tourist services, ensure food safety, prevent unlicensed taxis and cheating acts.
