"From mountains to sea - the vestiges of the Champa culture in Quang land" exhibition opened
(QNO) - A roving exhibition titled “From mountains to sea - the vestiges of the Champa culture in Quang land” was opened on 30th March by My Son Relic and Tourism Management, Ha Noi UNESCO Office and the Cham Sculpture Association of Da Nang City.

With 3 main topics: “My Son land and the Thu Bon river”, “The trading road in the river” and “Mrs Thu Bon and Mrs Phuong Chao worshiping custom”, the exhibition introduces some daily activities of the resident communities living in My Son land and along the Thu Bon river, the relationship between My Son land and Thu Bon river, the relics such as Chiem Son, Mrs Thu Bon mausoleum and Cua Dai (Big Mouth). Those topics will bring out the cult of the Mother Goddess relating with the mausoleum system, festival and worshiping etiquettes, the conception of waterways in some localities of Quang Nam province and Da Nang city.
Starting in March 2014, the research project “From mountains to sea - the vestiges of the Champa culture in Quang land” has been sponsored 20,000 USD by Ha Noi UNESCO Office and the Japanese Unit Investment Trust.
The exhibition will be introduced at Mrs Thu Bon mausoleum (in Duy Tan commune, Duy Xuyen district), Mrs Phuong Chao mausoleum, My Son, Phong Le, Qua Giang villages and Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture till May 15th.
