Investment in Duy Xuyen: a friendly authority

Calling for investment

In the last nearly 3 years, Duy Xuyen district (Quang Nam province) has attracted 10 projects, covering an area of more than 50ha, with the registered total capital of over 850 billion VND. 4 projects among them belong to foreign direct investment (FDI) with a total capital of 39 million USD. There are 20 textile and garment enterprises and 13 production enterprises of building materials and mechanism investing into the Industrial Clusters such as Tay An (Duy Trung), Dong Yen (Dong Yen), Go My (Duy Tan), creating over 7,715 jobs. In the last 5 years, the total value of industry and handicraft of Duy Xuyen district reached at 9,233 billion VND, average increase of 22.7 percent per year.

Mr Nguyen Van Khanh, Assistant Chief of the Duy Xuyen Department of Economy and Infrastructure said that dialogue meetings with enterprises are annually organized by the district’s People’s Committee to grasp their business states. The “one-stop” and “inter-agency” mechanisms have been applied to solve the administrative procedures and difficulties for investors quickly.

Human Resource

According to Mr Nguyen Van Khanh, the local combination with enterprises in vocational training, investment promotion has brought certain effects. The workshops on  investment condition and  environment are also frequently held to attract supporting projects into Duy Xuyen. Besides, Duy Xuyen will strengthen the competence in management, unbind the enterprises’ difficulties, stimulate industry, train vocations…to meet the demand of skilled labours for projects.
