Changes in the provincial industrial zones
(QNO) - The important role of the industrial zones are more and more confirmed in attracting investors as well as producers.

After over 20 years put into operation, the industrial zones in Quang Nam province brought many positive contributions, creating favourable conditions for provincial development of industry, service and economy. Hence, the industrial zones in Quang Nam province will be more invested in order to attract more investors.
At present, the industrial zones contribute 36.55% of the value of industrial production, occounting for 39.7% of Quang Nam province’s export turnover and giving a big opportunity to labourers. In addition, 6 among 9 industrial zones are coming into operation, covering an area of nearly 2,322ha with the total capital of over 3,302 billion VND, attracting 170 projects with 3,035.54 billion VND and 1.784 billion USD. It is confirmed that the industrial zones are the strong point in Quang Nam province’s economy.

In 2015, THACO (Truong Hai Auto Corporation) transported more than 31,654 containers including 109 trips, nearly 36,000 tons of goods out of Tam Hiep port. At the same time, THACO sold 78,377 automobiles with the turnover of 42,000 billion VND, leading the Vietnam’s auto market. Especially, THACO rolled out the models of Kia Sedona (CKD) Mazda 2 (CKD) at the Chu Lai- Truong Hai Automobile Manufacturing and Assembly Complex (Quang Nam province) in the end of October of the year 2015. It means that Vietnam can manufacture, assemble auto towards taking part in the global supply chain, AFTA-Association of Southeast Asian nations (ASEAN) Free Trade Area and ASEAN markets.
Dien Nam- Dien Ngoc in the northern area of Quang Nam province has also attracted many large-scale enterprises such as VBL beer, Rieker shoes, Inax, Uni-President, Midori Anzen… The South Korean Group Panko is being built in Tam Thang Industrial Zone. These are places of synchronous infrastructure supplying many favourable services for investors such as import and export clearance, tax declaration…
