Interesting activities to celebrate Lunar New Year Eve in Hoi An
(QNO) - The programme “Hoi An New year of the Monkey 2016 Festival” will be held from 7 to 15 March 2016. Many interesting cultural and sport activities will be held such as the festival of welcoming Lunar new year of the Monkey at the Hoai River square, Happy New Year singing and dancing performances at the ancient quarter, fireworks performance at An Hoi Sculpture Garden and Cham Island dock, boats race, New year tree planting festival in Xo Viet Nghe Tinh street and 13 communes and wards, the 4th Quang Nam Chinese Chess Championship 2016 at Hoai River Square and so on. Besides, there are also some regular activities such as Hoi An Lantern Festival, photos exhibition “55 years of Quang Nam-Thanh Hoa (sentimental) twin cities relationship”, musical performance to celebrate the 86th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the success of the 12th National Congress of the CPV, folk games, coconut leaf folding art .
