Improving Chu Lai-Truong Hai urban environment
(QNO) - The experts from the KfW Development Bank (KfW) of Germany has recently worked with leaders of Quang Nam province and the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone (OEZ) Management (ing) Board about financial assistance to implement the project “Improving Chu Lai-Truong Hai urban environment”.
This project will be funded by KfW in two phases. In the 1st phase, 39 million Euro will be invested to build water drainage canal system in Tam Anh urban zone, Tam Hiep wastewater treatment plant and anti-landslide construction along Ben Vang river in Tam Hai commune.
According to an agreement signed on 7th September 2015, 25 million Euro of total investment capital is preferential loan from KfW, the remain will be funded by Vietnamese government.
On 11th March 2016, representatives of KfW and Chu Lai OEZ Management Board signed a memorandum and agreed with the preferential loan of 14 million Euro to carry out the 2nd phase of the project. The both sides will prepare the procedure steps to push up the process of project implementation.
The Chu Lai solid waste treatment plant with modern classification and treatment technologies can receive and treat about 800 tons of waste per day. After bringing into operation, it can treat all waste of the Chu Lai OEZ and contribute to improve living condition, protect urban environment and attract investment into this OEZ.
