Nearly 80 thousand visitors to Quang Nam on the April 30 - May 1 holiday

(QNO) - Reported by the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, nearly 80 thousand tourists visited and stayed in Quang Nam during the 4-day holiday (from April 30 to May 3). In particular, there was an increase of 31.26% for international arrivals and of 4.59% for domestic visitors over the same period last year.

The destinations attracting a larger number of visitors were Hoi An city, Phu Ninh lake, Cam Thanh commune, the Vietnam’s Heroic Mother statue... However, there was a slight decrease of arrivals to Cham Islands and My Son Sanctuary due to the impact of some objective causes.

The April 30 - May 1 national holiday was past but the Quang Nam’s coastal areas are now going into the marine-tourism season. To promote the advantages and enhance visitor attraction to these places, the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism along with the local branches and agencies continues to intensify advertising and introducing the images, especially the provincial coastal sites, to tourists. Concurrently, the safety of the sea and seafood should be confirmed and announced widely so as to reassure the visitors to Quang Nam.
