277 types of corals create the natural beauty and mystery similar to an underwater rainforest for Cham Islands. They include hard corals in the shapes of blocks, branches, plates, and discs, and soft corals in such forms as flowers and wild mushrooms. In addition, there are several massive colorful coral reefs existing for hundreds of years along with various symbiosis animals. They are considered as the ocean environmental recording devices. Particularly, many types of corals are in natural regeneration progress. Such plants and animals living at the ocean bottom as sea cucumbers, starfish, crinoids, mollusks, echinoderms, and other species are all growing healthily, and developing stably and diversely.
They are not only the gifts of nature, but also the success in protecting and preserving the aquatic ecosystem of Cham Islands throughout 7 years, since it was recognized as one of the World Biosphere Reserve Sites.
